Chapter 119: Fighting A New Monster

Chapter 119: Fighting A New Monster

'I have to think later about this,' he thought to himself before returning to glance at the fighting monsters again.

This time, three grounds were controlled by the double trunk monsters, two were controlled by the three holed monsters, and the last two were controlled by the double horned monsters.

"It's quite expected," he muttered before asking, "anyone knows anything about these monsters?"

These weren't just any veteran, they came here to support one who had shares in the developing company. They must have their own ways to get info and tips, so he was expecting much from them.

"To be honest, all we have is things written in the village manual."

Yet the answer Jeffrey provided made him startled. He glanced at them in disbelief and more doubt towards Nara who just shrugged. "The game only has tight security about its secrets, that's all."

Something told her that he knew about her identity, yet she wasn't sure how. He sighed, as this seemed out of his expectations. "Has anyone fought these monsters before?" he asked, to be met with another silence.

"Alright, I will tell you what I know," he shook his head before starting to narrate the monsters' pros and cons. "So, we will start with the easiest, those double horned monsters," he finished his words with this.

"You mean the Grenatos monsters?" Jeffrey corrected him.

"I like to call them double horned, man look at them. They have DOUBLE horns!"

"Tsk," Jeffrey didn't know what to say here, so he remained silent while others avoided saying a word.

They had a genius leader, yet he seemed crazy!

"I will go first, and then you will come after me. Remember, our aim is to make every single monster use their abilities one after another. It's just mere luck we have even numbers here, or else we will have to hunt down one first."

He then moved towards the group of double horned monsters with his two swords unsheathed. "Let's have some fun," he laughed as he wasn't feeling any pressure at all dealing with these monsters.

As he expected, the fight with them ended fast with no much hustle. 'I have to admit, playing with them is making things much easier for me,' he said to himself while enjoying the feeling of raising up and allocating his free points to Str this time.

'I need to make my hits more lethal,' that was what he decided. He aimed to regain his reputation as mass killer, and to do that he had to acquire an AOE skill plus raising up his own Str.

"You sure didn't lie about being so close to level up," Nara muttered, with a strange smile over her face.

Bloom was the only one leveled here among them, but each one got a decent boost to his experience. "This is just faster thanks to you, but the amount of Xp gained was decreased because of your low levels," he honestly replied, without any ill intention.

"You are just a monster!" Jeffrey shook his head, "are you one of those hermits? Those who love gaming more than anything ever in life?"

Bloom just avoided answering such a question, as he decided to keep his true identity secret from them, then secret from his enemies and the entire world. "Let's go, we still have six places to clear," he said while heading towards the next double horned monster ground.

He gained twenty seven percent increase in Xp after clearing this ground. Yet no one leveled up even after killing forty monsters this time. "Sigh, did you just come here after rising to level eleven?" he shook his head while stating the obvious.

The next fights went smoothly until they reached the area of three holes monsters. During that time, some succeeded to level up a level, but the rest were still stuck at level eleven.

Nara and Jeffrey were among those who leveled up. As Bloom stood on the edge of this area, watching those fifty two monsters with vigilance.

"Don't you know their absolute ability?" Jeffrey asked, as he got used to Bloom giving counters about how to deal with the monsters; not to stand there silent to watch.

"I didn't fight those yet," he shook his head as he added, "so we are going to first test them out, and prepare for the worse."

"You mean total wipe out?" Nara asked in disbelief, "I don't think so."

Her tone was so confident, and Bloom just sneered. "We can be wiped out in any fight, this is a fact about this game."

"Why don't we just send a few of us to test them?"

"They have fifty two and we have fifty one, it's already disadvantageous for us," he refused her suggestion before adding, "losing a level here won't be a loss if we managed to crack these monsters' supreme ability."

She just nodded, as she knew this was the usual tactic followed in any game. Yet she was still feeling regretful if she lost a level here, a level she just gained.

"Let's go," he stepped forward, leading the charge as usual. "Pay attention to their darts, they are lethal," he warned as the monsters stopped what they were doing before raising their head to glance at him.

"Won't he use his clone skill?" Jeffrey asked, in a low yet audible tone to Bloom who just replied: "If we are going to die, then why should I waste this skill here? Leave it for later, dash!"

He opened the fight with one of his signature skills. He was now at level thirteen, yet the monsters were all level sixteen. "I hope they won't have such an annoying skill like those double trunked monsters," he thought to himself as his sword just landed on the bigger body of the monster.

And then the monster and Bloom were carried a few meters to the center, while a damage of twelve thousand appeared on top of the monster.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

The response swiftly came from other monsters as they instantly turned their heads to him and then a dart was thrown towards his direction.
