A Failure's hopeful Journey

Chapter 110: War God.

You Xi Wang stood in the center of the field, with jade gloves covering his hands. He was holding a spear in his hand and his long sword was tied to his lower back horizontally. The position was something Adonis has never seen. He did not think too much about it. You Xi Wang was busy, but he did not stop comprehending the martial art skill he got as a reward. He was blessed with high-level comprehension which allowed him to cultivate this art in small succession. He could not show his skill of using all elements. Yesterday he found out that he can hide the spiritual energy beneath his gloves. 

You Xi Wang held his spear diagonally, his right foot was placed in front of his left foot. His hands were positioned in front of his chest. Adonis looked at this stance. After a while, he was surprised that despite looking like a relaxed stance he could not find any opening. If someone was to fight You Xi Wang would win if there were no unexpected circumstance. This stance was enough to showcase his battle prowess. Adonis pondered and spoke, "I will lower my cultivation to the peak core formation realm. If you can stand against me for over one whole minute. I will recommend you as the captain for the upcoming solo battle fest. Do you accept?"

You Xi Wang was surprised but his expression did not change. He nodded in reply, dare to face Adonis, are you kidding, his father always taught him that a cultivator is someone who dares to go against heaven, they are people who should not be afraid of meager things. He accepted without even thinking. You Xi Wang closed his eyes and when he opened them again, his state of mind was totally focused on the battle. Adonis also controlled his cultivation. 

His team was now awake and sitting down on the sideline. They all were now safe and won't be expelled. The school staff was also watching from the side. A man among them had a low mentality and could not stop himself from speaking.

"This pretty boy has a very calm expression."

A nurse beside him sneered, "Igor, you sure are jealous."

Igor snorted, "Let's bet, if master Adonis beat him, you will be mine for the night."

The nurse was pretty, but at this moment she was indignant. She looked the man right in the eye and said, "Agreed, but if the boy withstood it. I want you to run around the school naked. Dare to accept?"

Igor was confident in his words and nodded with a smirk. Yuki and Fenny were pissed, but they clean this guy up after You Xi Wang wins. Neo and Allan also looked at him with disgust. 

Adonis yelled, "Come."

He felt sharp wind stabbing at him as soon as he finished his words. You Xi Wang attacked with spear intent, the spear was stabbed for a least fifty teams in succession under one second. Adonis was prepared for this and dodged the attack. He was not to attack his opponent so early without seeing what cards he held. The second wave of wind stabs were all scattered in the possible spots Adonis could move to dodge. You Xi Wang vanished and swiped Adonis with his spear. Adonis used his bare arm to catch the spear. You Xi Wang manipulated the wind and just when Adonis was about to grasp the spear a wind blade condensed around the spearhead, slashed his palm. 

He was surprised. This wind blade came very abruptly. He wanted to disarm his opponent but was not expecting the other party to use the spear attack in such a manner. Blood dripped from his palm. It has been a long time since he was injured. The wind blade just now was laced with spear intent and was too sharp. The spirit shield of a core formation level was not enough to stop the attack. You Xi Wang had a mentality, spears are dauntless, they are unstoppable, they pierce the high heavens, they pin the opponent down on to the ground so how could someone stronger take away this mighty weapon from his hand. 

Adonis gazed at the blood dripping and felt somewhat offended. He was a senior and how could he be wounded by a junior. That took only 10 seconds. He looked up at You Xi Wang. He was surprised that the man did not jump back but thrust the shaft of the spear in the ground and rushed forward holding his fists. Adonis came back to his senses and balled up his fists to meet his opponent. You Xi Wang did not use the common martial arts from the school but he played by the rules of boxing and martial arts he has seen and experience on earth.

Adonis stepped forward and punched You Xi Wang with his left hand. His opponent was using his left hand so to meet his fist You Xi Wang used his left hand, just as both the fists were about to touch each other. You Xi Wang opened his fist and grabbed Adonis by his wrist with his left hand and placed his right hand under his elbow, turned his back to face Adonis, before the other party could use a counter You Xi Wang parted his feet, putting his left foot in front of the right and fused the spiritual energy in his muscles and flung Adonis in air. 

The school staff was stunned watching this situation. Yuki, Fenny, Allan, and Neo were no different. They did not expect their captain to throw the instructor in the air like a ball. Adonis himself was not ready for something like this, but he was now in the air and before he could even land on the ground. You Xi Wang took out a gun and fired a whole magazine on him. Adonis could only use his spiritual energy to save guard and just as he landed on the ground and was ready to counter, he felt a chill down his spine. He sensed You Xi Wang was retreating before he could find what it was...

BOOM.

His whole body moved forward after the explosion, You Xi Wang had cleverly used a wave grenade and threw it to the general spot where Adonis was to descend and retreated. The shock wave was sudden and Adonis was caught into You Xi Wang's pace again. You Xi Wang moved and used the Azure step art. He cast an azure shadow as he moved. He jumped up slightly and delivered a roundhouse kick to Adonis. The latter used his arms to block the kick. The kick was followed by an overhead sword slash. Adonis could only jump back two steps. The sword slash suddenly changed and a horrible sword wind followed. Adonis sidestepped, even so, his shoulder was grazed by the sword wind. One more wind, one more flower of blood.

Adonis felt ashamed and enraged. This guy was not giving him any time to counter. He waved his hand and staff appeared in his hand. He did not expect that he would use a weapon against a greenhorn. You Xi Wang sheathed his sword and rushed forward. 

Staff is lethal when the user can stretch his hand and have enough room to maneuver. You Xi Wang cast Azure step and flashed in a zig-zag motion. Adonis expected him to move right, so he attacked his right side, but You Xi Wang used his soul sense to catch all the muscle moments of his opponent, he changed his movement pattern. From zig-zag to straight-line motion. He was already in front of Adonis. The latter swiped his staff in order to hit You Xi Wang, on the side but his target bent his knees and squatted low. 

Adonis had a smirk and lifted his leg to kick You Xi Wang in the head, but the latter did not get hit. He put his hands on the ground and swiped his legs like a dragon's tail. His aim was the only leg Adonis was standing on. The instructor was holding a staff in his hand while his kick made his leg stretch outward. This was the worst stance. The leg swipe connected and Adonis fell on his butt. He wanted to get up, but a cold dagger was now placed on his nape. He could not believe it just now, but he would have died if it was a real-life situation. 

He looked at You Xi Wang and found that the guy showed no emotion at all. His sole focus was the battle, throughout the whole fight, not once had he taken a defensive stance. Adonis realized that this guy in front of him applied, Offence is the best defense to its best. He used spear intent to catch him off guard, followed by hard and soft to use his force against him, bullet shower to distract him and used a bomb, then a kick to the head followed by a sword slash, closed the distance to prevent him from having any chance to make a move, lured him to kick and swiped his leg from under him. This was a chess game, and Adonis was led by his nose. He gazed at the boy in horror. This guy was a beast in human clothing and according to the data, he did not use the skills he shares with his spirit beast. He did not even dare to imagine what would a core formation realm become if he faced these kids altogether. If they could defeat a primal soul realm cultivator with just four of them, then if this monster came in, it would end in half a minute.

He was not aware that they killed a Core formation cultivator when they were just early Spirit formation brats or he would have screamed in horror. He wondered if this kid was the incarnation of the War God.

Beep beep.

The beeping sound brought him back to his sense. It has been one minute, but You Xi Wang defeated him in fifty seconds. This must be reported to the upper authority so they nurture this talent. It will bring the school honor in the competition coming up. He stood up after You Xi Wang took back his dagger. He spoke, "You all go back to your class and wait for the result."

The practical exams came to an end.
