A Failure's hopeful Journey

Chapter 168: LUCY Initiated.

You Xi Wang came to the office with Celestia and Maya in tow. Today was the meeting with the R&D department. The topic of focus was the development of the Virtual Reality Helmet. This helmet was the medium they will use for people to have access to their games. They only have a prototype version till now this was something You Xi Wang did not like at all. 

You Xi Wang did not waste any time at all and straight headed to the conference room where the people were already waiting for him. He had called Stella and asked her to arrange for the related personnel to be ready and present in the conference room. He entered the room with Celestia and Maya. When the people inside saw the boss entering they all stood up and fell silent. You Xi Wang picked up Celestia and let her sit down in his chair as he himself stood beside her. 

He glanced at Minerva and Matthew. He asked, "How long would it take for the helmet to be ready?" his voice was not the usual jolly sounding but cold and calm. He was not the little boy right now but the person responsible for a big company. He was responsible for the staff and the future of the company as well. 

Matthew realized this and replied, "Chairman, the helmet is ready but the only problem we face is the cooling technology. The equipment heats up and we were unable to keep it under the passable criteria with the current technology. The spirit stone core and the circuit runs throughout the helmet in a loop. It will also interpret the brainwaves of the user into electronic signals in a millionth of the second. We can keep it cool if it is a little bigger in size by installing multiple cooling methods but the helmet is to be put over the head. The temperature that a human cultivator can tolerate is very high and this can be neglected but what do we do when it comes to none cultivating clients?" his words contained a hint of helplessness.

In the time they were all given the responsibility for this project they have tried all the combinations according to the modern engineering technology but all the effort in vain. You Xi Wang heard this and his brows frowned. He started pacing around the room while pondering over the solution for this problem. The staff in the room were anxious like ants on a hot plate. After five minutes You Xi Wang stopped and took out 15 spirit stones from his space ring. He then arranged them all in front of everyone. The people were perplexed about what he was doing. 

Minerva still had some inklings regarding the array formations. She was a tech researcher and she has seen a lot of techs which worked with a combination of some arrays. She wanted to say something but did not as You Xi Wang will be disturbed. Just as she was hesitating You Xi Wang finished arranging the array. Suddenly the air inside the room swirled and gathered inside the array formation on the table. You Xi Wang spoke, "This is a level one hybrid array, The ice wind array. Usually it is used for the production of air conditioners and refrigerators. This array is a little too big to be fit in the helmet. The consumption is also shallow so it can easily last for three years. What we need to do is use these same spirit stones as a power source for the helmet." 

He paused and continued, "What you guys need to do now is to make a circuit breaker. Every time the user removes the helmet the circuit will break, and the array formation will be disrupted, and it will connect again when the user puts it back on again. I will leave the specifics to you guys. The dual power supply will also be looked into by you guys. I want it to kick in only when the user wants to do multitasking. In future, they will be using a whole virtual world while they sleep. Also, get this tech registered so no other can reverse engineer it and fight for the market. We will take a commission to allow their products to be on our market." his crisp instructions regarding the sales were taken in by Stella. 

The staff discussed the plan a little and the meeting was adjourned. You Xi Wang called Petra to come and take Celestia for a voice model recording. He planned to use Celestia's Voice in the vehicle as a smart assistant. When the little girl heard it she was upset at first that You Xi Wang will not spend time with her. Only after You Xi Wang coaxed the little fairy that he will take her to play in the evening for sure did she agreed to with Petra. After sending Petra and Celestia away he went inside his cabin and switched on the computer. 

He spoke in his mind, 'System, the knowledge sync will be done now.' 

[Yes master.] The system replied in an instant. As soon as the words dropped it started synchronizing the knowledge base related to computer science with You Xi Wang's primary consciousness. This process will last for a little bit longer. 

The people of Metropia did not rely on artificial intelligence as they always believed that it will make them lazy, plus as cultivators, their brains were as powerful as a computer itself. The highest level of artificial intelligence was the smart house and vehicle assistants they have in the world. That too was because of the advancement of the technology and no other reason. This is also one of the reasons for the world to come to a point of stagnation. The stigmas they all have as a cultivator. You Xi Wang was a person from another world where people dream of having an artificial intelligence under their control. So, with no hesitation, he was going to do that. It took a complete half an hour before the knowledge was synced. You Xi Wang opened his eyes and did not waste any time on it. He simply operated the computer and started to type a program on it. You Xi Wang agreed to this and the system fired up. The typing speed immediately shot up to an unprecedented level. The keyboard did not have any keys but was a touch sensitive panel. The room was not filled with any sound but if anyone noticed You Xi Wang's hands they will scream in shock. His hands did not move at all, yet the screen was flickering very fast. His speed was so fast that the hands looked still. They did not even form after images. The same thing was happening with his eyes. His irirs was like a flicker. 

You Xi Wang set in the chair and kept typing non-stop. At this speed he could write the code that would take a normal human at least 15 days. And given the proefficiency he has in computer science at this moment. He could write a program capable of self learning at a high speed. The program will also evolve on its own but You Xi Wang also set up restrictions. Such as never taking action against humans or such. He also made sure that the program is proefficient in invasion and evasion so that he can realize his goal of collecting info about the vultures eyeing him. 

It was four in the noon when he was done with the coding. His hand tapped the enter key on the touch panel and the program began to execute. He took this time to call Petra. The call connected and he asked the smiling pretty woman in front of him, "Petra, is everything done? Should I come over to pick up Celes?"

Petra replied, "Yes, we will be done by the time you come over. Celes came up with a very wonder full idea. She suggested that we allow the clients to use a voice model they preferred. Such as their loved ones or their idols. She also suggested that we ask Lily and other girls about being a voice model."

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "This little pickle is quite a bizz-kid. Well, we will do as she says. I will let the marketing department formulate a plan regarding this. But we will use Celes's and the other girls voice as the preferred voice model in the beetle. The customized voice model will only be available in the countach. How about that?"

Petra nodded with this plan of action. The bettle was a vehicle for the masses and it was not a luxury. Only those with deep pockets could get Luxury. You Xi Wang was running a business and not a charity to give away such high end goods to everyone who comes to his door asking for it. He disconnected the call, by this time, the program on the computer has also finished running and a prompt dialog box appeared on the upper left corner of the screen.

You Xi Wang smiled and typed in the first command, ;Initiate self-learning. Read all the material related to digital invasion and evasion on Metronet. Secondary task; program evolution according to the set guidelines.

The dialog box changed, {Command accepted. Initiating Self-learn sequence now.}

You Xi Wang was worried that someone in the council must be watching the Metronet, so he set the program to be able to manage all the computers in the company and then use then to extract the information in patches and then compile them together to learn. Th patches extracted will be totally random and once the program evolves to a certain level it will be able to hide itself completely from the watchmen. After issuing the commands to LUCY, You Xi Wang left thecabin and headed to pick up Celestia from the Procode office. 

He was in a good mode and decided to take Celestia out for dinner. The girl came up with an extraordinary business idea for him as well so she deserved a reward. You Xi Wang also did not forget to connect a remote access of his Computer via using his Holo-phone. He was going in seclusion so the system needed his Holo-phone to be able to access the computer. He also left a message to You Naixin to activate the shadow to monitor thesurroundings of the family and alerted all the elders as well. He told his master, Alester Book about the vultures and was assured by the old man about the security of his family. 

With all his worries temporarily settled he headed to the Pro-Code HQ.
