Chapter 173: The Test.

You Xi Wang smiled when he saw his sister wiping sweat from his forehead. He replied, "Thank you for guarding me." his voice was low, although his physique had enhanced the mental exhaustion in the process was still very tiring. He just wanted to sleep. Alester Book just smiled and spoke, "You take rest on the airship which will take you and your team to the venue tomorrow Xiao Wang."

You Xi Wang turned around when he heard the voice. He bowed and greeted Alester Book, "Disciple has seen master."

Alester Book shook his head and said, "Don't be so rigid, Xiao Wang. How do you feel?" he asked with concern. You Xi Wang replied, "Master, I feel no physical discomfort. Just mentally a little tired." he spoke in an embarrassing manner.

Alester Book laughed and said, "It is fine, fourteen days of seclusion to gather and condense the spirit energy is indeed exhausting. Let's go out. The whole family has been guarding you. They are also waiting anxiously for you out there."

You Xi Wang nodded and stood up from the ground. With You Zhichi beside him, the two walked up to the door and exited the room. Maya and You Naixin were already present outside. Maya came to You Xi Wang's side and rubbed her head against his legs. You Xi Wang smiled and patted her a bit. You Naixin spoke, "Brat, congratulations and breaking through."

You Xi Wang hugged his grand aunt and thanked her. The other elders also came over and congratulated You Xi Wang one by one. You Ziyou commanded them to take back all the deployed defenses and maintain a normal security level. Thanks to the concealment array Alester Book deployed around the outside forces and people did not see the defense capabilities the family has developed. You Xi Wang asked everyone to keep the secret of his cores. He was about to conduct a meeting when Alester Book came to his side and said, "Xiao Wang delay the meeting for a little. Your sister needs to take a test. The rest can wait."

You Xi Wang was confused and asked, "Master, what test does my big sister needs to take?"

Before Alester Book could even answer his disciple's question. The void twisted and a space crack formed. You Xi Wang immediately took out his spear and Maya beside him shifted her weight and bared her fangs. He shouted, "TAKE GUARD."

The whole You Family acted in an instant and vigilantly observed the space crack. Alester Book shook his head and said, "Xiao Wang, it's your martial aunt. Don't be so anxious."

Only after this sentence did You Xi Wang put down his guard and gesture for the others to do the same. Following his actions, an ethereal voice rang out in the surroundings, "Good reaction. Junior brother has found himself a fine disciple."

A figure wearing a white gown walked out of the space crack. Her long hair was styled in a shawl and they hung only two inches above the ground. The woman was so beautiful that words cannot describe her beauty. Her feet did not touch the ground when she walked. The people were stunned when they heard You Xi Wang speaking loudly, "CALM DOWN."

His shout woke up everyone. The charm the woman held was so strong that even women were stunned by her. Only after You Xi Wang spoke up did they all came back to reality. The woman in white spoke up again, "Good. Alester, your disciple is indeed a good treasure."

Alester Book replied, "Senior sister, can you please not test everyone all the time." his tone was wary. You Xi Wang followed his lead and bowed down to the lady, "Martial Nephew greets Martial Aunt. I apologize for any offense."

The lady smiled and nodded. She spoke, "Stand up, Xiao Wang, I did not take any offense from your actions. What you did was the right thing. Always staying on your guard is a warrior's instinct. You also broke out from my illusion spell first. Good." her tone was very warm as if she had known him for a long time. 

You Xi Wang smiled and thanked her for the praise and invited her inside the guest hall of the mansion. The family Elders exchanged greetings with the lady in white and led her to the guest hall after dismissing the youth of the family. Alester Book followed the lady obediently. After the lady and Alester Book sat down on a couch in the guest room. 

Alester Book said, "You Zhichi, come forth." his voice was firm and calm. 

You Zhichi came forward and bowed to both the people. The lady glanced at You Zhichi from head to toe. She spoke, "My name is Animo Albus. My junior brother wants me to accept you as my disciple. But I want to ask you. You know that I will test you?" her voice was cold and she sounded very aloof.

If someone else were to be speaking something like this You Xi Wang would have busted a gasket in his brain, but this lady was at least as strong as his master if not more. He also did not want to interfere too much with the martial path of his sister. Until and unless the lady does not hurt his sister, it was fine. You Zhichi smiled when she heard the lady's question. She replied, "Yes, senior." 

Animo Albus nodded and spoke, "Okay, the exam starts now." with that said her eyes shone with fiery red color and she cast an Illusion over You Zhichi to test her. This illusion will put You Zhichi in situations and based on her actions will all be recorded by Animo Albus. 

You Zhichi stood in a white place with two people in front of her. These two figures were her parents. This was the first round of the test. It will test You Zhichi's control over her emotions. You Zhichi smiled when he looked at her parent's face. Chen Limao spoke, "Chichi, how are you, my dear?"

You Zhichi replied with a smile, "I am good, mom. We always miss you."

You Liangxin jumped in, "Do you guys only miss her and not me?" he frowned as he spoke. You Zhichi chuckled and said, "Dad, we miss you too."

Chen Limao spoke, "If only we could come back."

You Zhichi replied, "Mom, it took us a long time to accept that you are not here anymore. But it is also true that we carry you in our hearts. This is all fate. Of course, it would be better if you were here but we are not strong enough to turn back time, no?" her voice was tranquil and her spirit was also stable. She was aware that this was an illusion. But what she spoke was straight from her heart. This was the level of control she had over her emotions. The parents nodded and with a smile, they faded into golden light. 

The scene changed and she appeared inside the guest hall where Animo Albus and Alester Book sat in front of her. Animo Albus nodded and spoke, "To be my disciple, you have to pass the last test. I practice the saintess sutra. I am not allowed to have any emotional entanglement with anyone. To be my disciple you will have to do the same. You will have to follow me the moment you accept this term and live like a hermit for a century. You will not be able to come out in any condition. You are also not allowed to contact the outside world at all. This includes giving up the relationship with your family, friends, and most importantly, your brother. Do you accept to be my disciple now?" 

You Zhichi replied as soon as Animo Albus was done asking her question, "No."

Animo Albus spoke, "I can get you power and resources no one in the world has. Countless people are out there who would die of happiness if I accepted them even as a servant. Are you sure you want to refuse me?" her voice turned colder and the whole room seemed to have frozen. Animo Albus spoke again, "It is your brother who holds you back then I will kill that pup."

She turned her gaze to You Xi Wang and snorted. The next second, You Xi Wang's whole body blew up into a bloody mist. Watching this seen You Zhichi was shocked at first and then she said, "If your purpose is to make me angry then congratulations, You have successfully achieved that. Now even if you destroy the whole world I will not be your disciple. I will not accept. I advise that you kill me and My whole family right now otherwise, I swear to the heavens that even if I had to cross over to the dark side, I will find you and torment you for eternity. I will make sure that you regret even being born in this world."
