C5 – The System will Level up to the Level 999 in One Second

“Is that it?” Qi Ning was utterly astonished.

“That was incredibly quick! Did my level not even go up by one?”

Pondering this, Qi Ning opened the system to review his skills.

Upon doing so, he was shocked.

“What in the world?”

He had assumed that his language skills might improve by a single level, but to his amazement, it had skyrocketed to Level 999.

A surreal feeling washed over him, persistently surfacing in his thoughts.

​Then, in the blink of an eye, his mind was flooded with a multitude of things that clearly weren’t his own, yet they were vividly imprinted in his memory.

“This feels so real.” With that thought, Qi Ning pulled out his weekend homework from his backpack.

He gathered all the language papers and set to work with earnest.

Ten minutes later, he gazed at the completed test papers in disbelief.

“I managed to finish a test paper in just ten minutes!”

​He then began to compare the answers on the test paper with those in the textbook. Aside from the essay and reading comprehension sections, which he couldn’t check, everything else was correct.

“I’m on the verge of success.”

After a moment’s thought, Qi Ning collected the rest of the language papers and tackled them with focus.

In under an hour, he had completed all five papers. Upon reviewing them, his answers were all correct—except for the essays and reading comprehension, of course.

Qi Ning took a deep breath, steadying the excitement within him.

Honestly, the sensation was exhilarating.

“By the most conservative estimate, I get one opportunity to level up each day. That means I can level up again tomorrow!”

With this thought, Qi Ning’s spirits lifted.

​With one month left until the college entrance exams, he had ample time to max out his skills in all subjects.

Content and fulfilled, Qi Ning drifted off to sleep.

“This is actually happening. I’m not dreaming!”

Even fully awake, Qi Ning couldn’t shake the dreamlike feeling.

“This doesn’t feel real.” He gave himself a sharp slap.

Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, Qi Ning looked into his increasingly spirited eyes and made a silent vow to astonish those who had once scorned him.

“I’ll make them all see me in a new light!” he declared, settling back into his seat.

“The political test is scheduled for Monday.”

Qi Ning, having opted for the liberal arts track in high school, was required to study politics, history, and geography in addition to language, mathematics, and English.

After some thought, he decided to use his one-time upgrade opportunity on politics.

With that thought, Qi Ning pulled out the political science exam paper and his pen danced across it, marking answer after answer.
