Chapter 981 I’m Proud Of You, Sis

As Pnolli, Compass Carburettor began to descend his mountain—Grezza Mountain.

The faith directed at the God of Humanity continued to funnel into him, but in this state, it wasn't exhibited. After all, Pnolli was just a mortal human.

There was a weakness in being Pnolli. He couldn't use his powers and was easy to kill. But, that wasn't a problem. After all, as long as he wasn't killed in an instant, he could always let go of the Avatar of Pnolli and return to his divine form as the God of Humanity.

Moreover, as Pnolli, Compass Carburettor could actually join other faiths if he so desired, and nothing would implicate the God of Humanity. After all, he did that as a mortal human—Pnolli.

This was the peak advantage the God of Humanity possessed. After all, if one were to look into his three authorities, one would realise that the Avatar was the true peak represented by the God of Humanity.

Symbol of Authority—Human Shadow.

Tool of Authority—Brain!

Mode of Bestowal—Chest Thumps!

A human shadow meant the entity was a living human being and not an ethereal creature like a ghost or spirit. The brain implied the entity wasn't an inanimate or bestial creature and possessed intelligence. Finally, the chest thumps implied the human desire for more and the vigour to work towards it.

The result of their combination was the Avatar, a humane entity that the God of Humanity could become.

Moreover, the greatest aspect of this was the fact that it didn't stop at Pnolli. In the future, as long as someone wholeheartedly devoted themselves to the God of Humanity, he would obtain their Avatars.

Pnolli was the God of Humanity's Avatar of travel. Hence, using it, Compass Carburettor could travel from one place to another.

Similarly, if there came others embodying other activities, these Avatars would further diversify Compass Carburettor's scope of actions.

"Grandma, you should rest." A youth said in concern, "You have been working hard despite your age. Your body can't keep up anymore."

"Hah, look at this brat." The grandma, Pneua snorted as she pinched the grown adult's cheeks just as how she did when he was a child, "What I'm doing now couldn't even be considered work. Back in my day, we had to scale entire mountains and face danger from wild beasts just for some herbs. Now, I only have to pull a lever to get hot water in my bathroom."

"I'm obviously not talking about that." The youth argued as he pointed at a stack of documents, "Do you really have to go through everything on your own? We have staff members to do the job."

"I'm still the village head, brat." Pneua slowly sat up on her bed as she wore her spectacles and took the documents to resume her work, "I may be old, but I'm not weak. That fact that I lived this long is proof enough."

The youth tried to convince her otherwise for a few more minutes before giving up at the futility of his efforts as he stormed out. Pneua simply stared at his back and flashed a proud smile, 'He's growing very well, better than my son.'

Had her soon heard her remark, he would have been disappointed, as a talented individual himself. But maybe he would have been prouder, for it was his own son that had surpassed him.

Pneua was still the village head. Though, she was addressed as the Town Lord instead to signal their development. From the original five thousand strong to over thirty thousand, their numbers had grown a lot.

Moreover, they had enough resources to facilitate ten times the number easily, and hence, they saw a boon in their population every year. Pneua was at the height of that, carefully managing every aspect to facilitate the best opportunities for everyone.

As the individual that had received the highest blessings to date, she was the wisest in their village's history, and also the most resourceful.

It was evening by the time she finished her work. And just as she had sat down for some tea with her adorable grandson, there was a knock on the door as a familiar voice resounded, "I came to see you."

Bang!

Her teacup fell to the floor as Pneua stood up in shock, "That voice…"

She then stared at the youth that had arrived at the entrance, a familiar face, one that seemed like he had just left the village yesterday, "…Pnolli!"

"He is with me now." The youth resembling Pnolli spoke with a familiar voice, his mannerisms too the same as her younger brother.

"How…are you faring, Your Lordship?" Pneua was pretty smart, and seeing her younger brother in his youthful self was enough to piece together the information, bowing in respect, "Are you able to descend the mountain now?"

"As Pnolli, yes." Compass Carburettor smiled as he approached Pneua and hugged the latter, "While I'm like this, I'm truly embodying Pnolli. So, you don't need to treat me as a Deity while I'm like this."

"Then, let's have some tea, shall we?" Pneua shed tears in delight as she asked, "You never returned after that. So, even though I was busy, not a second went by where I wasn't anxious about you."

"Tell me your adventures."

"Sure, sis." At this moment, he was neither Compass Carburettor nor the God of Humanity, but just Pnolli, sipping the tea as he talked, "The first village I visited was a bit disrespectful at the start but they warmed up to me very soon. After a month of stay there, I headed north to the village of forest gatherers…"

As Pnolli began to recount his entire journey, Pneua listened with attention, forgetting all her work as she could finally see her brother after decades. Her grandson tried to console her, but Pneua wasn't in the mood to curb her emotions.

Tears streamed out of her uncontrollably as she heard the end of his travels, "And when I was just minutes away from my end, I arrived at our home and witnessed your exemplary work."

"I'm proud of you, sis."
