Speed Is King

Chapter 362 Danger!

“No.” He shook his head.

“Just one.” Elliot said. “You can pick which one.”

“No.” He shook his head once more.

“If you win, I will give you a drop of my blood.” Elliot said.

“Ehm. Well…” Saint Dul’Akharat struggled mightily as his unwillingness to showcase all of his strength in public, which was what would definitely happen if he were to fight with Elliot’s Darklight Primal, warred with his desire for Elliot’s Prehistoric Grade bloodline.

Elliot immediately understood his unwillingness.

“A private battle then. Just you, me, and the Dragon Primal involved.” Elliot said.

“Deal.” Saint Dul’Akharat agreed immediately without hesitation.

“Good.” Elliot said with satisfaction. He really wanted to see if his Dragon Primal had the strength to compete with Saints!

Both of them turned their attention back to the Dragon Primals whose strength were still skyrocketing without pause.

Saint Dul’Akharat was able to sense their strengths indirectly through their strengthening string of fates, and he could feel his battle lust slowly ignite then flare up as each of the Dragon Primals started to approach power levels that neared his.

Elliot, on the other hand, could sense his Primals’ strengths extremely clearly, and each of them had completely left him in the dust!

Above each seated Primal, strange but awe-inspiring energy silhouettes began to slowly take form.

A glorious Seraph in ecclesiastical raiment bearing a wondrous sword appeared above the Golden Apostle.

At the same time, a dreadful Demon in black armor and holding a trident alight in black flames appeared above the Black Apostle.

Both emitted billowing waves of energy which clashed and merged together at the same time in an awesome spectacle which only Elliot could witness!

The Seraph took a bold step toward the Demon and raised his wondrous sword up high as though it was about to attack.

Likewise, the Demon leapt ahead to meet the Seraph in battle as he thrust his flaming trident in a vicious attack towards the Seraph’s body.

Slash!!

The Seraph’s sword swung down with great power, sliced into the Demon’s head and split it in two!

Slash!!

The Demon’s trident pierced the Seraph’s body and caused it to burst into black flames!

However, as their forms broke apart, their light and dark energy swirled around each other and then… they started to merge together!!

“What?” Elliot frowned. He had never expected such a thing to happen!

“System! Why are the light and dark energies merging?” Elliot asked.

[Unknown Phenomenon]

[Unable to determine reason.]

Elliot could only watch in amazement as a brand new energy comprised of light and dark energies emerged from the strange union.

Unfortunately, the merging only took place for an extremely short time.

After a mere five seconds, both Light and Dark energies separated and reformed calmly above each Dragon Primal.

Elliot stared at the Seraph and the Demon intently.

Ba-dump.

He could feel a spike of adrenalin rush through his veins as he realized that both the Seraph and Demon now exhibited aspects belonging to their adversary.

The Seraph’s wondrous sword was now alight with black flames, and the Demon’s armor had turned slightly golden!

In addition, a slight tinge of fearsomeness could be felt alongside the Seraph’s radiance, which was matched by a sense of glory which billowed forth from the Demon’s dreadful aura.

Elliot glanced at his other Dragon Primals which had similar energy silhouettes forming above them. But unlike the Golden and Black Apostles, their energy silhouettes remained where they were.

The Metallic Dragons had varying types of Angelic Silhouettes coalesce into form above them, while the Chromatic Dragons had varying types of Demonic Silhouettes. The differences lay in the elemental power that the different Angels and Demons exhibited, as well as the fact that none of the angels and demons were as majestic and as dreadful as the one above the Golden and Black Apostles..

The angel silhouette above the Silver Apostle boasted Wind-type elemental energy around its sword while the demon silhouette above the Blue Apostle boasted Lightning-type elemental energy around its trident.

“It would seem that the true forms of my Darklight Energy are Angels and Demons.” Elliot said to himself as he observed his ten Dragon Primals and their energy silhouettes thoughtfully. “The combination of my Darklight Energy with the Dragon Apostle’s draconic energy saw the Darklight Energy dominating the union and rendering their draconic element subordinate. Interesting.”

“Their power levels seem to have stabilized.” Saint Dul’Akharat observed.

Elliot glanced at Saint Dul’Akharat and then pointed at the glorious Seraph above the Golden Apostle.

“Can you see that?” He asked.

“No.” Saint Dul’Akharat shook his head. “I can only sense their power very vaguely through their strings of fate. But I do know that Primal Dragon Fire and Primal Deathwing are far and away the strongest of the bunch.”

“So… Have you decided who you want to fight?” Elliot asked.

“I have. In fact, to make things more interesting, I have decided to fight two at once.” Saint Dul’Akharat gave Elliot a confident smile.

“Hoo… You’re very confident of your strength. I want to see the fight as well.” Primal Alexander said.

“Me too.” Primal Lilian said.

“Us too! Let us see!” Jessica cried out loudly.

“No.” Saint Dul’Akharat said seriously. “The fight would be much too dangerous for any of you, except for maybe Primal Alexander. But even then, no.”

“Awwwww. Boo spoilsport.” Jennifer pouted at Saint Dul’Akharat.

“He must be pretending to be strong when he already knows that he can’t defeat even one of big bro’s Dragon Primals.” Jessica sulked.

“Pity. I would be willing to pay quite a sum to be able to witness such a high level fight.” Primal Lilian sighed.

Saint Dul’Akharat merely smiled and ignored her.

“Alright. Someone must remain to coordinate the defense planning with the rest of the Primals anyway.” Primal Alexander sighed and glanced at the still dumbfounded Primals. “And get their brains working once more as well.”

“Yes. Please do that.” Saint Dul’Akharat nodded at Primal Alexander appreciatively.

“Which two do you want to fight with?” Elliot asked curiously.

Both stood up quietly. Not even the tiniest bit of energy leaked out from them.

But Saint Dul’Akharat’s instincts, which were very much in tune with fate, blared loudly like never before.

Danger.

Fatal Danger!
