“Uh, wouldn’t that be inappropriate?” Luo Ziling, full of shyness, said, “How can I watch you while you take a shower?”

To this, Ouyang Huihui became even more irritated. “You can just stay outside, who asked you to stay in the bathroom?”

Seeing Ouyang Huihui so angry, Luo Ziling had a headache but eventually, he didn’t refuse and agreed to her request.

Falling into the pit one has dug, one must jump in even with tears—Luo Ziling thought that suggesting Ouyang Huihui go to a hotel to shower and do laundry, then dry and wear the clothes again, was a terrible idea.

Without further delay, they took advantage of the cover of darkness to get to the parked car.

Ouyang Huihui’s skirt was still dripping wet, but she couldn’t care less. She immediately took out her keys, unlocked the car door, and quickly slipped inside.

When she sat in the driver’s seat, she sadly realized that water had gotten into her purse, and her phone had automatically shut off.

The money and other items inside had all gotten wet, but thankfully, the car keys still worked.

But she had no time to care about these things; once she got into the car, all she wanted was to quickly escape the embarrassment.

Luo Ziling took the passenger seat, and before he could buckle his seatbelt, she started the car and stepped heavily on the gas pedal.

Luo Ziling was startled by her rough movement, but having been tested on Lin Lan’s driving, he didn’t panic as he had before and quickly sat properly, grabbing the armrest.

They found a nearby quite upscale four-star hotel, drove into the underground parking garage, and Ouyang Huihui instructed Luo Ziling to get a room: “After you get the room, call me, and I’ll come up in the elevator.”

“Okay, give me your ID card,” Luo Ziling extended his hand to Ouyang Huihui, “I didn’t bring mine.”

Luo Ziling’s ID card was left in his dorm because he hardly ever needed it, so he wasn’t in the habit of carrying it with him.

“What?!” Hearing that Luo Ziling hadn’t brought his ID card, Ouyang Huihui was taken aback. Finally, she resentfully took out her own ID card and handed it to Luo Ziling. He unceremoniously accepted it, opened the car door, and got out.

Watching Luo Ziling walk towards the elevator, Ouyang Huihui started cursing inside the car.

Although it was Luo Ziling who had rescued her today, without him, she wouldn’t have been in such a plight, so she blamed him for everything.

It wasn’t just Luo Ziling she cursed; she also implicated Ling Ruonan, hating both mother and son.

About ten minutes later, Luo Ziling called to tell her that the room was ready and informed her of the room number.

Luo Ziling was very considerate and told Ouyang Huihui over the phone that there were two other elevators in a different direction which were hardly ever used. Ouyang Huihui, taking the hint, chose the less frequented elevator as instructed by Luo Ziling.

Luckily, when she took the elevator, there was no one inside.

After ringing the doorbell, Luo Ziling opened the door and Ouyang Huihui rushed inside, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

She didn’t say much to Luo Ziling and hurried into the bathroom, locking the door behind her.

Luo Ziling didn’t know whether to laugh or cry but didn’t make a big deal out of it, instead he walked into his room and sat down on the bed.

He had booked a luxury standard room, which cost roughly two hundred yuan for three hours.

After sitting on the bed, he turned on the TV and started to watch it, still holding Ouyang Huihui’s ID card in his hand.

While watching TV, he glanced at Ouyang Huihui’s ID card again.

The home address on Ouyang Huihui’s ID card wasn’t Xiangshan Garden nor the place where Ouyang Feifei lived, but another neighborhood called “Nandu Haoyuan,” complete with a specific house number.

Ouyang Huihui was the same age as him, just five months younger. Interestingly enough, the last few digits of their ID card numbers were the same. This meant that, except for the month and day of birth and the penultimate digit, their IDs were identical in all other respects.

Luo Ziling hadn’t paid attention to why the first six digits of his ID card were the same as Ouyang Huihui’s.

The photo on Ouyang Huihui’s ID card was also very pretty, and she seemed very charming, a very pure-looking young girl, certainly more comfortable to look at than the person he was seeing now. The photo was so beautiful that Luo Ziling couldn’t help but take a few more glances.

Ouyang Huihui was actually very beautiful now too, and because her body had matured, she had a different kind of charm. However, because he often clashed with her, Luo Ziling had never felt particularly good about her.

As Luo Ziling was looking over Ouyang Huihui’s ID card, the door to the bathroom opened, and Ouyang Huihui came out.

Seeing Luo Ziling looking at her ID card, she somewhat angrily barked, “Give me back my ID card!”

“I was just about to give it back to you, but you went into the bathroom,” Luo Ziling said as he handed over the ID card to Ouyang Huihui, adding with a smile, “I noticed that my ID card number is just a few digits different from yours, only the birth month and day are different, everything else is the same. Is that common for everyone’s ID cards?”

“How is that possible?” Ouyang Huihui took back her ID card, looked it over carefully, and then put it in her bag before asking in confusion, “How could your ID card number be so similar to mine?”

Luo Ziling told Ouyang Huihui his ID card number, and seeing that she still seemed skeptical, he explained helplessly, “I’ll bring it next time to show you, I also don’t know why it’s like this. The numbers at the beginning and the end are the same, it’s quite a coincidence!”

Ouyang Huihui looked at Luo Ziling a few times but eventually didn’t say anything.

Since her dress was wet, she immediately took off her damp skirt as soon as she entered the bathroom. When she came out, she had wrapped herself in a bath towel, very tightly, to prevent any inadvertent exposure.

“I’m going to take a shower first, you are not allowed to come in,” Ouyang Huihui warned fiercely, “If you dare to come in, I will call the police!”

“Ouyang Huihui, I originally didn’t want to come into the room, but you told me to come in. Maybe I should just go back downstairs and wait!” Luo Ziling said with a look of frustration, and then made a remark that really angered Ouyang Huihui, “I have no interest in watching you take a shower!”

Ouyang Huihui felt like throwing the little bag she was holding at Luo Ziling’s face, to vent the anger she felt at being belittled by him. This jerk actually had no interest in watching her shower? But after thinking it through, she gave up, huffily walked into the bathroom, and locked the door.

When she stood in front of the mirror after undoing her bathrobe, Ouyang Huihui got angry all over again.

The body in the mirror was dazzlingly beautiful; even she was a bit jealous of herself. That fool outside actually had no interest in seeing it.

It was infuriating, the greatest contempt she could experience.
