Young Master in the Apocalypse

Chapter 106 - Journey

In the frozen northern Divina river that connected the White Sea to the heart of Russia, a luxurious yacht could be spotted cruising across the water.

A few figures were seen standing on the top deck of the yacht, which was heading south following the river. Meanwhile, a small group of people were seated on the lower deck, enjoying the long trip with some champagne and snacks.

Viktor raised the glass in his hand and drank a chilled champagne while being entertained by the two beautiful sights that sat in front of him during this journey. Two beautiful girls were chatting with each other, a blond princess and a brunette beauty.

At the moment, the brown-haired girl was full of smiles, beaming with delight as she showed her friendly personality to the princess.

"So, Sister Eva, I can't believe you are a real princess.. Like wow, I was shocked and amazed at the same time when I knew that," said Jessie, complimenting her in a courteous manner.

"Ahhh, you're too kind." Eva said with a wide smile. "I was just born fortunate, while you, I heard from people that you are really smart. That is super amazing! Moreover, you are very beautiful," continued Eva, complimenting Jessie on her own merits as well.

"No, no, sister, you embarrassed me. I am nothing compared to your beauty."

Seeing the sight of two people who were familiar with him getting along so well made Viktor's face light up with delight. He could not hold himself from smiling, and it appeared as if he had just reached another step to build his dream empire: that of filled and surrounded by beautiful women.

"So sister, I heard you two are like a big royal couple. Can you tell me how the two of you met?" Ask Jessie while secretly give a wink at Viktor.

However, Viktor just calmly enjoyed his glass of champagne, letting Jessie as she tried to pry information about him from Eva. From the looks of it, he was completely unconcerned about what she was doing. This was true, as Viktor had told Eva to share everything she knew about him with the new girl.

Jessie was a perfect guide for him. She's a smart, informative, and trustworthy young lady. It would be advantageous for him to maintain a good relationship with her, therefore, in order to gain her trust, he would not mind letting her know about his background.

A wealthy Romanov family who just appeared out of the bunker. He basically let her know everything about himself through Eva, with the exception of where he got his ability, which was of course from the Djinn lamp.

On the previous day, when Jessie demanded to know how Viktor was able to have such immense power, despite the fact that he never went to the pillars, Viktor replied by throwing a question back to the girl. This time, regarding the green liquid she had injected herself with and why she had acted as if she was on the run.

At that time, Jessie refused to answer his question and only told him the fact that she was not an Arkhangelsk native and that she had moved to the town a year ago and stayed there in order to help the professor to finish the nuclear reactor project.

Those were all the information Viktor knew about the brown-haired girl as she didn't want to elaborate further about herself.

In the end, their confrontation ended with nothing significant as both of them were still adamant about avoiding disclosing any information about their "secret".

Subsequently, in a tacit understanding, the two agreed to keep a part of their secret to themselves for the time being until the time where they could trust each other with secrets more deeply in the future.

It was for this reason that after the town's defensive barrier was fully operational, Jessie left the workshop under the care of Bugs and Wade under the reason that she needed to go and leave the town for a period of time.

Jessie told the mayor that she wanted to keep the promise she had made to Viktor and that she would help him for a period of time in the city. As it had happened, the mayor could do nothing but reluctantly agree to let her go, and since she was about to leave for the city, the mayor also assigned her a task to do during her time in the city.

That's when Viktor finally got a new addition to his companion, which marked the beginning of their adventure together.

While the two girls continued to talk and Viktor entered the conversation from time to time, a figure made its way down to the lower deck. It was a kid, and even though he was the same age and build, he was not Barry. It was a dark-haired Asian-looking kid who had been brought by Jessie to tag along on the journey.

"Sister Jessie, everything has been set." The kid remarked in a respectful tone. "We should reach the destination in 7 hours just before dark."

"Thank you, Kosta. Well done!" Jessie exclaimed.

The reason Jessie brought this one kid with her was because the kid was a Nenet, a native of Siberia that could prove to be an excellent guide for them during the journey.

The kid was apparently well-versed in the way around the Tundra, and he was even capable of hunting, fishing, and doing a wide range of other activities. The kid was also an orphan and wished to return to his Nenet tribe.

As for Viktor, he recognized the kid as the one who called him a comic book superhero before, and the kid was actually still talking about it to Barry and the two bodyguards nonstop during the journey.

"Is there anything else you need, sister?" The little kid asked Jessie once again.

"No, Kosta. Thank you."

After making sure that Jessie did not need anything else, the kid then went around to ask Eva and Viktor one by one just in case they needed anything in particular that he could help them with. This kid was such a nice and energetic person, certainly a good addition and helper for the group.

However, it was at this point that Barry arrived, bringing with him another bottle of champagne. He was aware of the presence of Kosta, and he told the kid to leave before offering the drink to Viktor.

"Here is your champagne, Master."

As far as Viktor was concerned, Barry had become even more hardworking than usual since Kosta's arrival. It seemed that having the kid around had provided more added benefits to the group.

In any case, with Kosta and Jessie being on the team, Viktor's team have now become a group of seven.

After some time, Viktor told the girls he wanted to go to the upper deck to get some fresh air. As soon as he had left the girls, Jessie quickly leaned closer and whispered to Eva.

"Sister, I hope I am not intruding on anything here. Please tell me if I am bothering you," she said in a quite hesitant manner.

Eva reached out and touched Jessie's hand. With a sincere smile, she said, "No, you are not intruding at all, dear.. Anything to make Viktor happy."
