Chapter 163: Joy Ride.

You Xi Wang drove the vehicle from the start line and then he did his best to showcase the vehicle's performance and perks. The vehicle was not outdone in any single department. The braking system and the gyroscope enhanced the output to another level precedent to what has ever been seen in Metropia. After two laps of the circuit track, You Xi Wang drove the vehicle neatly below the stage and parked it in front of all the reporters. He had already changed into his formal clothes. 

The butterfly winged doors opened and You Xi Wang stepped out of the vehicle with a certain charm. The whole vibe he gave off was very dominating and stylish. He was wearing a black suit with a red shirt inside coupled with a black tie. He stood in contrast with the white-colored vehicle. He calmly stepped onto the stage and spoke, "Hello everyone, I, You Xi Wang, the CEO of Tianlong Group welcome you all to the unveiling of our newest product. The Countach, a luxury sports mag-lev produced by Celestial Motors. You all have seen the performance of the vehicle but I would still like to introduce you to some of the features we have introduced in the vehicle before we carry on with the Q&A session as well as the lucky 'Joy Ride' where I will drive one of you through the circuit in the vehicle itself." 

The media applauded enthusiastically. They have never seen such a vehicle design in Metropian history. If not for the live performance they just watched, they would not have believed that it was true. The performance was nothing short of a movie sequence. This drive-by piqued their curiosity and when Media gets curious you can expect the effect the product has created. You Xi Wang raised his hand and signaled the crowd to calm down. 

After the media settled down You Xi Wang spoke, "This vehicle uses the common Mag-lev technology used by any other vehicle in the world but we have introduced some auxiliary features to enhance the performance. Celestial Motors has introduced a power braking system that works under the influence of the steering wheel. A gyroscope to stabilize the vehicle during sharp turns. The design of the vehicle is also optimized to meet the expectations of the people..."

You Xi Wang talked for 15 minutes and explained the various features of the vehicle to the media. The people on Metronet were also watching the presentation with interest. You Xi Wang finished his presentation and another applause rang out. You Xi Wang again raised his hand and signaled the people to calm down so that he could start the Q&A session. Petra, Gerrard, and the others did not expect their boss to be such a natural in front of the media. 

You Xi Wang spoke, "Now, we will start the Q&A session. So let's begin with it." he looked around in the crowd and pointed at a man wearing a white shirt and pleated navy blue trousers. The man stood up and said, "Hello, CEO You, my name is Theodore Tatum. I work for Silica City Daily. My question to you is, How much this vehicle will be sold for?"

You Xi Wang replied with a smile, "This vehicle will be made on-demand only. The cost of the base model is 50,000 gold credits." his words caused an uproar among the people of the media. Even Gerrard who stood on the stage was dumbfounded. This price quoted by You Xi Wang was something that could allow people to buy two top-class vehicles in the market. You Xi Wang was aware of the storm he has caused. So he continued after the deliberate pause, "The company will provide three years of free after-sale service maintenance which will not cover any deliberate and excessive accidental damage. Yes, I know this price may sound a little too much but I guess it is nothing compared to getting something that defines your status in society. The company will sell the vehicle in 2 million colors. They will be painted on demand of the client. The interior scheme and material will also be customized based on the client's personal preferences."

The media calmed down when they heard all this. You Xi Wang then pointed at Anna. Anna stood up and she said spoke, "Chairman You, I am Anna Fairstone, I work for the Metronet channel 'Horsepower'. My question to you is, Can you tell me why the logo of your company is this charging golden bull? It is quite not matching enough with your company's name."

You Xi Wang chuckled and said, "A good observation Ms. Fairstone. The charging golden bull is actually the logo designated to this vehicle is actually in regards to this series. The Countach belongs to the golden bull series of vehicles we will produce in the future and there will be different logos for the different vehicle series. As for the logo of Celestial Motors, Do you see the starry background on the triangular logo?"

Anna and the others saw and nodded. You Xi Wang continued, "The starry sky is the Logo of the company and all are beneath the starry sky. The vehicle series we produce are also beneath the celestial sky." his calm and charismatic voice stunned the women in the media and those who were watching the even at home. They did not expect this handsome young man to be like this. The audience applauded and the Q&A continued. 

You Xi Wang replied to all the media person in a patient and stable manner. He even cracked some jokes to lighten up the mood. The second segment of the vent came to a closure very smoothly. The people then began to wait for the announcement of the lucky person who can get a chance to ride this vehicle eagerly. You Xi Wang also knew this and deliberately kept silent. Anna saw this and she couldn't help but speak up, "Chairman You, can you now announce who is the lucky person to get a joy ride in this vehicle?"

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "The first guest we ave today is a well known person in the society of Metropia. Please warmly welcome, The president of the Educational Department of the Council of Metropia, Mr. Alester Book."

As soon as his words fell, the space trembled slightly and a space crack appeared on the stage next to You Xi Wang and two old men came out of the space fissure. One of them was Alester Book, while the other person was someone You Xi Wang did not know. You Xi Wang did not mind and bowed slightly to Laester Cook and the old man accompanying him. The crowed was shocked but they all followed suit and greeted Alester Cook and the old man with respect. 

Anna who stood surprised among the crowd spoke, "Is it just me or the old senior behind president Book looks like the president of industrial development department of the council." her voice was low but it was loud enough to be heard by everyone in the media. Alester Book and the old man on the stage also heard it and smiled. The old man spoke, "I did not expect someone to recognize me as soon as I come out of the space crack. This young lady, I am indeed the head of the IDD or industrial development department in the council of metropia, Shelton Hammer."

His announcement caused another wave of murmurs in the crowd. You Xi Wang bowed and spoke, "I thank the senior to grace us with his presence." 

Shelton Hammer shook his head and said, "You are too humble Xiao Wang. Old man Book here is my brother-in-arms. When he told me you designed a vehicle that will change the image of transportation. I was very curious so I had to come. Now you show me the vehicle."

You Xi Wang nodded and spoke, "Yes, senior." he turned towards the crowd and said, "Ms. Anna since you were the first person to recognize senior Hammer. How about you be the third person to ride this vehicle today?" a slight smile rested on his lips. Anna was having a minor heartattack at this money because she never imagined to be able to sit in the same vehicles as the giants of the council once sat in. How could she not agree? So, Anna ended up nodded her head like a chick pecking on grains. 

You Xi Wang saw this and nodded. Next, he led the three people to the vehicle. Alester Book and Shelton Hammer observed the vehicle with omnipotent vision. They were very pleased with every line and curve of the vehicle. Book glanced at You Xi Wang and nodded. He spoke in his mind, "Xiao Wang, you did a very good job."

You Xi Wang slightly bowed to Alester Book and replied in his mind, "You overpraise me master, This vehicle might be based on my idea but it became a reality because of the technicians and the designers in the company." he was not being modest but practical. IT was true that he designed this vehicle but it was also true that if the technicians could not craft this vehicle then it would have stayed a design on paper for who knows how long.

Alester book understood this and nodded. He was satisfied with the behavior of his disciple. Shelton Hammer started laughing loudly all of a sudden. He praised You Xi Wang and Celestial Motor's technicians and engineers for successfully developing such a vehicle. Anna on the side was shaking with excitement. She understood perfectly the weight this praise carried. This one sentence was going to change the entire trend of vehicles in Metropia and the leader of this change will be Celestia Motors. 

You Xi Wang spoke, "Senior Book, would you like to be the first to ride?"

Alester Book shook his head and said, "Xiao Wang, take this old guy first otherwise, he might blow a fuse in his brain." who would believe the president of Educational department of the council to speak in such a frank manner. 

Shelton Hammer also did not fall back and refuted, "Stop pretending to be honest old man. We all know why you want me to be the first. I will deal with you later." the two were old friends and thus they ere used to speaking with each other in such a manner. 

You Xi Wang shook his head slightly and politely opened the butterfly door for Shelton Hammer. The door design fascinated the old pioneer a lot. He sat inside the vehicle and You Xi Wang closed the door. Oldman Hammer noted all the facts in his mind. You Xi Wang did not use the normal seats inside the vehicle but a gel filled bucket seat was placed inside equipped with a massager and a mini heating array to enhance the comfort. He started the vehicle and the sound was heard. 

Shelton Hammer spoke, "Xiao Wang this sound goes against the no noise pollution of Metropia." his eyebrows were locked together with a frown on his face. 

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "Senior this voice is produced by the 360 surround sound system in the vehicle. The entire vehicle is covered with a sound isolation array and the sound will not be heard on the outside."

Old man Hammer was surprised when he heard this. He never expected such a simple array to be used in such a clever manner. He was also once a young man and understood the charm of the sound produced by the engine. The two then stopped talking and flew off for a joy ride on the circuit.
