Chapter 150: Wolves Howl! Not Bark!

Chapter 150: Wolves Howl! Not Bark!

Elder Treant Tan and the other Treants ignored Pedro as gigantic cracks weaved through the inches thick of ice shrouding the Frozen Treant. Then, the remaining ice exploded as the Frozen Treant comes back to life--consequently raining chunks of ice nearby that area.

"Aaaaah!" The Treant cried as it shook off the remaining ice on its body. However, in the next second, it stumbled and was about to fall--resembling someone who had lost all their strength after a whole day of work.

This made Pedro almost revert back into his Dragon Form in order to catch the falling Treant. Fortunately, the arms of Elder Treant Tan had extended--resembling a branch that grew and extended in just a matter of seconds. Elder Treant Tan's extended branches, or 'arms', held the weak Treant, helping it stood on its feet.

Two other Treants extended their hands after Elder Treant Tan. Their hands extended in just a matter of seconds, wrapping the body of the weakened Treant. The other two Treants positioned themselves equally away from each other--forming a triangle with Elder Treant Tan.

This way, the weight of the weakened Treant was distributed amongst them equally. In turn, the weakened Treant could only glance towards everyone whilst using the last ounce of his strength to force out a smile towards them.

"For... The... Goddess!" The weakened Treant murmured as its vision completely faded.

"Nooooo! Brother!" Elder Treant Tan cried. His feet planted into the ground, immediately shooting roots deep into the ground.

Three roots extended into the ground on each of Elder Treant Tan's feet. The fastest one curved upwards to the unconscious Treant's feet--piercing it to the point that it crushed its feet. While the second root shot downwards--deep into the soil, with no hints of stopping. Lastly, the third root remained on the shallow part of the ground--absorbing every ounce of energy it can extract from the ground.

At the same time, Elder Treant Tan nodded towards the other Treants--who started moving in response. The other two Treants, who was supporting the unconscious Treant with Elder Treant Tan, planted their feet into the ground.

They released the same roots as what Elder Treant Tan did. That said, their roots that pierced to the feet of the unconscious Treant had also pierced through the roots that Elder Treant Tan had first embedded, consequently making him cry in pain.

That said, Elder Treant Tan forced himself to resist the pain in the next second as the other remaining Treants circled around them, making a circular defensive formation. But Before they planted their feet into the ground, they glanced towards Elder Treant Tan as if they were waiting for his order.

At this moment, Elder Treant Tan glanced to Pedro and asked, "Where... is... the... goddess, human?"

"Having tea with a friend," Pedro said.

"Great..." Elder Treant Tan said as he averted his gaze from Pedro. Then, he continued, "Leave... this... matter... to... us! We'll... follow... you... later!"

Pedro nodded in response. He walked away from them before transforming back to his Dragon form and flew into the sky. Truth be told, Elder Treant Tan had no trust in humans. But because of the inseparable link between Faunia and Pedro, he had no choice but to believe him.

On top of that, Elder Treant Tan knew that Pedro obtained many benefits from them, the Treants, and Faunia. The protection that Faunia, a goddess, provides and, at the same time, the Nearis Paper that the Treants produce were things that other humans from Bearth could only dream of.

Hence, Elder Treant Tan was assured that Pedro was, at the least, trustable compared to other humans. When he glanced at Pedro earlier, he knew that Pedro was seething in anger deep inside. After all... They were his 'supplier' of Nearis Paper. One less Treant meant one less Nearis Paper Supplier.

After Pedro left, Elder Treant Tan nodded to the other Treants--who planted their foot into the ground in response. This time, the Treants--who circled around them, made three layers of walls from their roots. It weaved to each other to the point that even the wind was not able to breeze past through them.

At this moment, Elder Treant Tan and the two other Treants started to transfer the energy and nutrients from the soil below them to their unconscious brother. At the same time, the cries of the players from the United Asian Force, paired with Pedro's roar, started to 'play' as if it was the Treants' music whilst conducting an 'operation' to revive their friend.

On the other hand, the forest and the wall of roots separating it from the plains had begun to burn as Pedro began to wreak havoc in that area. He flew high in the sky and dove down--gliding, whilst breathing fire and killing anything along its way. Be it trees, monsters, or players, none was spared from Pedro's wrath.

'My gold farming army! And now... One of my Treants?! All of you shall pay!' Pedro thought as he breathed flame--incinerating trapped players from the United Asian Force.

"Fwaaaaaaah!"

Then, he flapped his wings and flew back into the sky--heading to the next players. However, contrary to the usual, dazed and pale, look of players, this group of players stared daggers towards Pedro with their gritted teeth. They grasped their newbie swords as tight as they could whilst preparing themselves for Pedro's dive.

This made Pedro smirk in response. Contrary to their anticipation, Pedro reverted to his humanoid form in mid-air. As he falls to the ground, he threw his pen-knife, from his inventory bag, into the air.

Then, his pen-knife launched towards the astonished players like a missile that had found its targets, as he reverted back to his dragon form and glided above the burning forest before flying back up into the sky. Soon, it pierced the players, neck after neck--sucking their blood dry along the way.

The players who were able to witness their terrifying death lost all their remaining will to fight. They run all over the place, some even bathing themselves with the fire from the burning trees.

Some players were smart enough to simply log out of the game and avoid experiencing any traumatic cause of death. While some were lucky enough to be able to escape to the plains.

Unfortunately, before they could rejoice in their survival, the players who were able to escape into the plains fell into holes that were meters deep. In those holes, billions... no, trillions of ants await for their arrival.

Red ants or Black ants, they all swarmed the players that escaped into the plains until their bones were the only ones left. Their Inventory Bags were 'carried' by the ants and were pilled up beside Talia, who was happily 'inspecting' the contents of each bag.

"Nothing! Nothing! Nothing! These players have nothing but their newbie swords! How lame!" Talia grumbled. Then, she glanced into the burning forest and flicked her tongue, complaining, "If Expert Bro and the rest of the Team were not these destructive, my children could have had a feast!"

At this moment, a giant chicken was running on the loose--chasing players who were able to run away from the burning forest. It slammed to the threes like a lawnmower. Though Mathew resembled and cried like a chicken, he pecked into the players--squashing them into pieces, as fast as a woodpecker.

'Where are you guys going? Come fight me!' Mathew chuckled. Unfortunately, the players were only able to hear his cry as they ran for their lives, away from 'the chicken on the loose'!

"Bok! Bok! Bok! Bok! Bok! Bok!" The chicken's non-stop cry played into the players' heads even after their deaths--giving them a trauma on chickens, possibly hindering them from eating chicken again in the real life.

Almost a kilometer away from Mathew, an eagle hovers high up in the sky and was watching the players run in the ground. Behind them, thousands of dead bodies laid everywhere, creating a 'dried' version of the gore forest.

From above, lines weave through the trees like a thread, killing everything--monsters or the players that were running for their lives, on its way whilst sucking them dry of their blood. And as the threads weave past them, there was no trace of the killer that could be spotted. Even the blood of the victims was nowhere to be found.

'Right! Those three!' Sabrina frowned deep inside, thinking that she might have accidentally killed Lony, Roval, and Yojiro.

Thousands of dried dead bodies laid below her. If she really killed them accidentally, she felt troubled about finding their corpse since all of the dead bodies were almost unrecognizable--if their head was still fortunately in one piece.

"Kwiiiiiyaaaak!" She cried, really shouting, "How troublesome!"

Then, she simply flicked her tongue deep inside and thought, 'Who cares about them! It's their fault if they died because of being weak!'

Sabrina hovered forward, watching the ground with her 'all-red' eyes while telepathically controlling her pen-knives on the ground. At this moment, two gray furred wolves and a swordsman were fighting against a seemingly infinite number of mountain wolves coming from everywhere.

"Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!" The two wolves roared in an attempt to scare the violet furred wolves away. Unfortunately, it did not work.

The swordsman behind the two barking wolves could only slap his palm on his face whilst forcing out a smile and shaking his head. Then, he said, "You guys... Wolves howl! Not bark!"

Yojiro swung his Katana casually, splitting three pouncing mountain wolves into half at once. On top of that, a wind blade was sent out of his sword, consequently slicing rows of mountain wolves and trees that were only meters away from him.

"Wind Sword Art: Wind Blades!" Yojiro shouted.
